Course Overview
The ATHE level 6 Extended Diploma is a 120-credit size qualification and is equivalent to a degree. It provides an opportunity to progress onto an MBA or postgraduate programmes for example Level 7 ATHE Extended Diploma and then to MBA top up.
The ATHE Level 6 Extended Diploma is not tied to any specific industry but deliver the skills and knowledge that meet the needs of managers in different sectors on a domestic and international platform.
It is a flexible route for students who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level and for students who do not have business or management qualifications, but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior management experience in the work place.
This qualification allows you to choose pathways to speciailse in an area of your choice, which is directly related to your current responsibilities or that meet a particular interest and support career development.

Who this qualification is for?
The ATHE level 6 Extended Diploma is for those who are seeking to develop key knowledge, competencies and skills within a specialized area, required of contemporary managers in today’s dynamic and rapidly changing global economy.
The ATHE level 6 Extended Diploma also provides opportunity for those who wish to progress onto full MBA or ATHE’s Level 7 extended diploma and then MBA top up.
Progression:
Students who complete this qualification can progress onto a full MBA at a range of universities or partner universities of ATHE either online or on the campus.
Students can also progress onto the ATHE’s Level 7 extended diploma and then to MBA top up or to employment.

Entry requirement:
This qualification is designed for applicants who are typically aged 19 and above.
For applicants who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include:
- One or two years study of Business, Management or related qualifications at a Higher Education Institution Or
- A level 5 qualification in Business, Management or related subjects for example an ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Management Or
- Other equivalent international qualifications
- Applicants must also have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments
- Applicants may also have relevant work experience.
Mature students route:
Mature students are encouraged to apply and will be considered after interview. You may be required to present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include relevant work experience (paid and/or unpaid), participation and/or achievement of relevant qualifications.
Expected prior knowledge:
You do not need to have studied Business and Management before but an interest in the subject is important

Assessment:
There is no external assessment (i.e. exams) attached to any unit. You will be required to submit a final written assignment for each module.
Syllabus:
Level 6 – Equivalent to Bachelor's Degree
Learner must complete the four core units totalling 60 credits. Learners then select the unendorsed route or one of four pathways, Finance, Managing People, Operations Management, Sales and Marketing.

How much will it cost?
– The course fee is £1399 including course material, assessment and tuition fee.
– The enrolment fee is £30 per module
– You can receive a 10% discount on the course fee if you pay in full or you can pay in two equal instalments without additional charges or interest.
Course support:
The course is delivered via an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. All course materials are available on Moodle and are delivered via easy to follow online lessons complimented by tutor support and feedback to enhance your learning.
You are allocated UK-based tutors, who are available through Moodle to discuss course materials and give support and assistance with assignments.
The unit’s learning materials are designed to facilitate your learning and to allow you to achieve the learning outcome of each unit. This material is interactive and contains practical activities, which have been designed to enable you to apply theoretical principles and frameworks.
