The ATHE Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management is a 120-credit size qualification and is equivalent to Masters degree. This qualification provides much of the underpinning knowledge and understanding for the National Occupational Standards in Management and Leadership and is also recognised by a variety of UK universities for progression to their MBA top-up.

This postgraduate qualification is not tied to any specific industry but deliver the skills and knowledge that meet the needs of managers in different sectors on a domestic and international platform.

It is a flexible route for students who have already achieved management qualifications at a lower level and for students who do not have business or management qualifications, but may have qualifications in other areas and/or prior management experience in the work place.

The ATHE Level 7 Diploma is designed to provide you the opportunity to acquire a broad range of knowledge and understanding and develop a range of skills, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life in the filed of management.

This qualification also allows you to choose pathways to speciailse in an area of your choice, which is directly related to your current responsibilities or that meet a particular interest and support career development.

Entry requirement:

This qualification is designed for applicants who are typically aged 19 and above.

For applicants who have recently been in education or training the entry profile is likely to include:

  • One or two years study of Business, Management or related qualifications at a Higher Education Institution Or
  • A level 6 qualification in Business, Management or related subjects for example an ATHE Level 6 Diploma in Management Or
  • Other equivalent international qualifications
  • Applicants must also have an appropriate standard of English to enable them to access relevant resources and complete the unit assignments
  • Applicants may also have relevant work experience

Mature students route:

Mature students are encouraged to apply and will be considered after interview. You may be required to present a more varied profile of achievement that is likely to include relevant work experience (paid and/or unpaid), participation and/or achievement of relevant qualifications.

Expected prior knowledge:

You do not need to have studied Business and Management before but an interest in the subject is important

Assessment:
There is no external assessment (i.e. exams) attached to any unit. You will be required to submit a final written assignment for each module.

Syllabus:

You must complete the five core units totalling 75 credits.. You then select the unendorsed route or one of four pathways, Finance, Managing People, Operations Management, Sales and Marketing.

(Unendorsed route)

If you are selecting the unendorsed route then you must complete five core units and three further units from the list below.

  • Strategic Human Resource Management

(Finance Pathway)

If you are taking the Finance Pathway, take five core units and three units from the Finance Pathway.

(Managing People)

If you are taking the Managing People Pathway, take five core units and three units from the Managing People Pathway.

(Marketing Pathway)

If you are taking the Marketing Pathway take five core units and then three units from the Marketing Pathway.

If you are taking the International Pathway take five core units and then three units from the International Pathway.

How much will it cost?

– The course fee is £2,260 including course material, assessment and tuition fee.

– The enrolment fee is £30 per module

– You can receive a 10% discount on the course fee if you pay in full or you can pay in two equal instalments without additional charges or interest.

Course support:

The course is delivered via an online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) called Moodle. All course materials are available on Moodle and are delivered via easy to follow online lessons complimented by tutor support and feedback to enhance your learning.

You are allocated UK-based tutors, who are available through Moodle to discuss course materials and give support and assistance with assignments.

The unit’s learning materials are designed to facilitate your learning and to allow you to achieve the learning outcome of each unit. This material is interactive and contains practical activities, which have been designed to enable you to apply theoretical principles and frameworks.
